English Language Lessons: I am a certified TEFL instructor through the International TEFL and TESOL Training (ITTT) 120-hour course and 50-hour Teaching Business English Course. I have 4 years of experience teaching English in classrooms in Japan and over 4 years of experience tutoring adults in-person and online in business English, grammar, writing, and conversation skills.

Japanese Language Tutor: I help college students and adults at the beginner level to get started with learning Japanese, whether you want to improve your grades in a Japanese course or build a good foundation for self-study. I have over 3 years of experience working with Japanese learners.

I currently offer 1-on-1 English or Japanese language practice sessions online. My method is to help students learn by doing, so I encourage them to bring the materials they want to practice or let me know what they would like to learn so I can prepare something to work on. I don’t do grammar worksheets or drills unless the student wants them; instead, I focus on learning vocabulary and grammar through casual conversation and fluency practice. I’ll also share videos, audio, and other free resources I find so students can study on their own time and have topics to practice for when we meet.
